PokerStars Crew was founded in February 2005 by N 82 50 24 and xBABKUZYx as a resource and forum for PokerStars poker players. The site grew very quickly at first -- gaining over 1000 members in the first week. Membership eventually reached 4,000 members after a few months. PokerStars Crew ran using the Mambo Server (a subset of the Joomla project) and offered poker forums, articles, member profiles and a Player of the Week. The first ever winner of Player of the Week was bigslick789. Of course, this player later became known as Ozzy "Ozzy 87" Sheikh and he became one of the most respected high stakes online poker cash game players in the world.
PSCrew was also the inspiration for the tournament tracking site thepokerdb.com. PSCrew founder Nat Arem (also known as N 82 50 24) started thepokerdb along with his business partner Graydot on PSCrew before eventually spinning it off into its own project. Due to the time commitments involved with thepokerdb, Nat decided to shut down the PSCrew forum later on in 2005. The site has largely remained down since then. However, PSCrew.com will rise again at some point in the near future.
